The Bergamo Show September 2007By Belinda Gray
![]() Four of us, (Jacqui, Karen, Rob and I), set off together for the Bergamo Show which was held in a converted Monastery on the very outskirts of Bergamo in Northern Italy. Once we arrived at the sun strewn ”Monastero di Valmarina”, which, believe me, was no mean feat as both of our Satellite Navigation systems conspired to make sure that we unfortunately didn’t see the start of the Show, we were greeted by many friendly faces and the sight of oodles of Maremmas either being shown or basking in the warm weather with a glorious backdrop of Italian mountains. In between the showing and the award giving we were treated to a magnificent multi course lunch; about 50 people all sat at the same long table chatting and munching on home made ravioli, meats and fabulous tiramisu – one gentleman even persuading Rob to try his Grappa!
We were made to feel so welcome; so if you ever fancy a couple of days away in the Italian sunshine, surrounded by Maremmas and the kindness and friendliness of the Italian folk, then you should have a look at the CPMA website (in our links section) which lists all their forthcoming shows. You never know who you might meet and what you could learn! Many thanks go to all at the Bergamo Show – we had a wonderful time. Ciao!
